Autograph letter signed from Joseph Alden Shaw, Worcester, Massachusetts, to William Winter, New Brighton, New York [manuscript], 1909 July 19.

Shaw is reading "Old friends" with intense interest. Indicates that, contrary to what Winter says on page 130, Charles T. Congdon was not a classmate of Oliver Wendell Holmes at Harvard; furthermore, there is not record of Congdon as a Harvard alumnus. On letterhead of the Highland Military Academy, Worcester, Massachusetts. With envelope addressed to William Winter.
